Returning to Akzent Hotel Berg'S Alte Bauernschanke was like stepping back in time, the historic building dating back to 1408 has been beautifully restored to offer a unique blend of tradition and modern comfort. The location in Assmannshausen, just a stone's throw away from Rudesheim, provided a tranquil escape with stunning views of vineyards from the room. The proximity to the chairlift and the Niederwald Denkmal monument made exploring the area a breeze.The warm welcome drink set the tone for a delightful stay, and the staff's attention to detail, from room service to housekeeping, ensured a comfortable and memorable experience. The spacious room, adorned with vine wood and cork accents, exuded a cozy charm that instantly made me feel at home. The wellness & wine area, featuring a sauna and steam room, was a sanctuary of relaxation, perfectly complemented by the high-class Rieslings and Pinot Noirs sourced from the slopes of the upper Rheingau.The hotel's terrace, overlooking the picturesque surroundings, was an ideal spot to unwind with a glass of the rare Sylvaner or Gewürztraminer.
